Help Their Voices Be Heard

Too Young to Wed (TYTW) provides visual evidence of the human rights challenges faced by women and girls through powerful, iconic storytelling on their terms. They also offer opportunities for survivors to reclaim their narratives and tell their own stories through groundbreaking photography workshops and leadership scholarships.

Too Young To Wed brings girls' experiences and voices directly to the global community, unfiltered and with integrity. Their stories provide the basis for shifts in policy, additional resources, and help ensure direct support for the girls and their communities. Through their groundbreaking photography workshops and leadership scholarships, TYTW engages survivors in leadership development, helping to transform influential advocacy into tangible action in the communities where the girls in our images live.

I first came into contact with Stephanie Sinclair’s incredible work with TYTW while representing National Geographic visual storytellers from 2008-15. As a woman, mother of two girls, and storyteller focused on amplifying women’s voices, I am deeply moved by their stories and the injustices done to them. I feel very strongly that everyone deserves a shot at their best life, an education and choice in the life they choose to live, and a safe space to freely express themselves without fear of retribution (to put it lightly). I want to use my own voice to contribute to this important cause. If you have the capacity, I would be extremely grateful for your donation.
